The Effect of the Tasmi' Method on Tahfidz Examination Scores among Students of MI As-Salam Teluk, Karangawen, Demak

This study examined the relationship between the tasmi' method and students' tahfidz examination scores at MI As-Salam Teluk, Karangawen, Demak, in the 2025/2026 academic year. A quantitative associative design was employed. The population consisted of 253 students, of whom 145 were selected through probability-based proportional sampling. Data were collected using a tasmi' method questionnaire and tahfidz examination scores. After validity and reliability testing, data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, simple linear regression, t-tests, and the coefficient of determination. The results indicated that the implementation of the tasmi' method was categorized as very good (M = 92.52), while students' tahfidz scores were categorized as good (M = 79.23). A very strong and statistically significant positive relationship was found between the tasmi' method and tahfidz scores (r = .927, p < .001). The coefficient of determination showed that the variables shared 85.8% of variance. These findings suggest that students with stronger engagement in tasmi' activities tend to achieve higher tahfidz scores, although other factors not examined in this study may also contribute to learning outcomes.
