As a developing scholarly journal in the field of Islamic education, JIIER is committed to maintaining high academic quality through a rigorous, ethical, and constructive peer-review process. The contribution of competent reviewers and editors is essential to ensuring the credibility, relevance, and scholarly impact of the journal.

Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to apply their academic expertise to critically evaluate submitted manuscripts related to innovative research in Islamic education. Reviews should be conducted impartially, fairly, and constructively, providing clear recommendations to improve the quality of manuscripts. Reviewers should possess in-depth knowledge of Islamic education or related educational disciplines and have experience in reviewing scientific or scholarly papers. Reviewers who demonstrate strong performance may be invited to join the Editorial Board.

Participation in the peer-review process plays a vital role in determining the academic value and impact of published articles. Through its readership, the research selected by JIIER reviewers is expected to contribute to the development of Islamic education research and practice at national and international levels.

Applicant Requirements

  • Hold a Master’s degree or higher in Islamic education, education, or a closely related discipline

  • Hold a teaching or research position at a higher education institution (e.g., university)

  • Have an excellent command of academic and professional English

  • Demonstrate a strong interest in scholarly publishing and educational research

  • Be able to work according to set deadlines

  • Conduct the review process accurately and responsibly
